Development Lead

Our client is seeking a Development Lead to join their team. As a Development Lead, you will be part of the Data Engineering organization, supporting multiple Data PODs. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on technical leadership, a strong sense of ownership for production reliability, and the ability to mentor and elevate engineering teams.

What's the Job?

• Provide technical leadership across multiple Data PODs, ensuring best practices, high-quality development, and scalable design.
• Oversee development, monitoring, and optimization of Azure Data Factory pipelines, Azure Event Hubs streaming solutions, Azure Logic Apps integrations, and Databricks workloads.
• Architect and implement Snowflake components including storage integrations, internal/external stages, external volumes, Iceberg tables, micro partitioning strategies, clustering, search optimization services, and dynamic tables.
• Troubleshoot complex production incidents, system failures, and performance issues across Azure and Snowflake ecosystems.
• Drive design and code reviews, environment governance, and deployment standards while collaborating with client groups, external partners, and vendors to align on technical solutions.

What's Needed?

• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Engineering: Azure Data Factory, Azure Event Hubs, Azure Logic Apps, and Azure Databricks.
• Deep knowledge of Snowflake, including storage integrations, stages, external volumes, Iceberg tables, micro partitions, clustering and search optimization, and dynamic tables.
• Strong SQL, Python, and PySpark skills for data processing and optimization.
• Solid understanding of data ingestion patterns, orchestration, and streaming architectures, including the ability to triage and resolve critical production issues.
• Demonstrated experience leading and managing teams of 25+ engineers, with strong communication skills across diverse stakeholders.
