Job Title

Our client, a leader in government and federal services, is seeking a Data Engineer to join their team. As a Data Engineer, you will be part of the Data Engineering department supporting federal delivery projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

  • Design, develop, and maintain production ETL/ELT data pipelines using modern data engineering tools and frameworks.
  • Implement data solutions utilizing Microsoft Fabric and Data Lakehouse architectures, including OneLake, Delta, and medallion layers.
  • Orchestrate data workflows with Azure Data Factory / Fabric Data Factory, ensuring efficient scheduling, monitoring, and alerting.
  • Perform data replication and change data capture (CDC) from legacy Oracle sources using Oracle GoldenGate.
  • Develop advanced SQL, PL/SQL, Python, and PySpark scripts, leveraging Databricks notebooks and jobs for transformation, cleansing, masking, and standardization.

What's Needed?

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, particularly building and managing production data pipelines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Fabric, Data Lakehouse, and related Azure services.
  • Experience with Oracle GoldenGate and CDC processes from legacy systems.
  • Strong skills in SQL, PL/SQL, Python, and PySpark, with practical experience in Databricks environments.
  • Knowledge of government data security standards, including Protected B, ITSG-33, and ATO processes.
