Embedded Software Architect – RTOS / BSP / Embedded Linux

Our client, MDA is seeking an Embedded Software Architect – RTOS / BSP / Embedded Linux to join their team. As an Embedded Software Architect – RTOS / BSP / Embedded Linux, you will be responsible for defining, designing, integrating and supporting complex embedded software architectures for space and satellite applications. Working within a multidisciplinary engineering team, the successful candidate will provide technical leadership across embedded software development, low-level platform integration and flight software.

What’s the Job?
 

• Define and contribute to the software architecture and design of complex embedded and flight software systems.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including Systems, Digital, RF and Hardware engineers to develop software for satellite and space applications.
• Provide technical leadership throughout the software development lifecycle, from requirements and architecture through implementation, integration and testing.
• Develop and maintain embedded software using C/C++ for real-time and resource-constrained environments.
• Work with RTOS platforms and contribute to the design and integration of real-time embedded applications.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in embedded software development, with significant experience in low-level embedded systems.
• Strong experience with C and C++.
• Strong experience with RTOS platforms and real-time embedded software.
• Strong experience with BSP integration and embedded processor/SoC bring-up.
