Multinational Financial Services Company Successfully Managed 3-year Migration Strategy

This multinational diversified financial services company with operations around the world is one of the top five largest banks in the United States. Along with growth through mergers and acquisitions, came larger gaps in business. One of the biggest challenges was creating a data migration strategy for their legacy dot-com site.

This client needed a solution that was not only cost-effective and scalable but also addressed their key challenges including:

• Managing a 3-year data migration project for a legacy dot-com site while focusing on building a unified corporate presence
• Maintaining 7,600 URLs for content, product information, promotions, and alignment with business to drive sales goals until the legacy site’s sunset
• Managing resource needs with attrition of permanent staff and threat of knowledge loss
• Retaining talent with a definitive end date and no chance of extension or transition to full-time

Solution

Experis delivered a customized hybrid solution to migrate the legacy dotcom site while maintaining and managing a core group of content managers. Experis was responsible for:

• Keeping the core team appropriately staffed
• Maintaining Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
• Providing regular checkpoints on performance and resource forecasts 

Experis provided a senior resource to partner with established management and help lead the project. This enabled the client to leverage Experis as an extension of their content management team to maintain the proper resource mix, proactively pipeline candidates, and provide periodic status reporting. This senior resource was a full-time Experis provided senior project leadership to oversee a number of services to increase project success, reduce risk, and support content management efforts.

Together, we successfully sunsetted 7,600 URLs and maintained an average error rate of less than 3%.
