Embedded Linux Software Engineer

Our client, MDA is seeking an Embedded Linux Software Engineer to join their team. As an Embedded Linux Software Engineer, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team developing complex embedded software for space applications, including satellite and spacecraft systems. The role focuses on low-level embedded Linux development, hardware/software integration, and the development and integration of software on complex SoC-based platforms.

What’s the Job?

• Design, develop, integrate and maintain low-level embedded software for space applications.
• Support Linux board bring-up and hardware/software integration on complex SoC-based platforms.
• Configure and customize embedded Linux systems, including kernel configuration and platform initialization.
• Work with Linux device trees, bootloaders, BSPs and device drivers.
• Develop, integrate and troubleshoot low-level software running on embedded hardware.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Strong experience in embedded software development.
• Strong programming skills in C and C++.
• Professional experience with embedded Linux.
• Experience with Linux board bring-up and hardware/software integration.
