Embedded V&V Engineer

Our client, MDA is seeking an Embedded V&V Engineer – Satellite Systems to join their team. As an Embedded V&V Engineer – Satellite Systems, you will be responsible for the verification and validation of embedded software and systems for satellite and space applications. The role focuses on developing and executing software and system-level tests, including Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) testing, integration testing, functional testing, and troubleshooting in laboratory environments.

What’s the Job?

• Develop and execute verification and validation strategies for embedded software and satellite systems.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test software using Python and object-oriented programming (OOP).
• Develop and execute Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) test environments and test cases.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and system-level testing of embedded software.
• Support the integration and testing of flight software within laboratory and simulated environments. 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in embedded software verification, validation, integration, or testing.
• Strong experience testing embedded systems.
• Strong programming experience with Python and C/C++.
• Strong knowledge of Python object-oriented programming (OOP).
• Hands-on experience with Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) testing.
