Architect - Flight Software

Our client, MDA is seeking an Architect – Flight Software to join their team. As an Architect – Flight Software, you will be responsible for the architecture, design, development and technical leadership of complex embedded flight software for space applications, including satellite systems and On-Board Computers (OBC).

What’s the Job?

• Define and develop software architecture for embedded flight software and satellite systems.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to define and design software architectures for space applications.
• Design, develop and implement embedded flight software using C and C++.
• Develop software for On-Board Computer (OBC) and other embedded flight platforms.
• Work with real-time operating systems (RTOS), including RTEMS.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years of experience in embedded software development, with significant experience in software architecture.
• Proven experience designing embedded software architectures.
• Strong programming skills in C and C++.
• Strong experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS); RTEMS experience is strongly preferred.
