Sr. FTM Developer & Technical Consulting Lead

Our client, a leading financial services organization, is seeking a Sr. FTM Developer & Technical Consulting Lead to join their team. As a Sr. FTM Developer & Technical Consulting Lead, you will be part of the Payments and Technology Support Department supporting modernization and payment processing initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent leadership skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

• Design, develop, and support mission-critical payment processing solutions on IBM Financial Transaction Manager (FTM), focusing on high-value payment workloads.
• Lead the modernization of FTM platforms from on-premise to container-native environments on Red Hat OpenShift.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define architecture, develop integrations, and ensure platform stability and performance.
• Guide and mentor a team of architects and engineers through discovery, design, and migration activities.
• Implement AI-first delivery practices, leveraging Scotia Intelligence tooling, knowledge agents, and AI copilots for automation and operational efficiency.

What's Needed?

• 7+ years of hands-on IBM FTM development experience, with deep knowledge of FTM architecture and transaction processing workflows.
• Strong expertise in Rational Software Architect (RSA), Finite State Machine (FSM) design, and enterprise integration using IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) or IBM Integration Bus (IIB).
• Experience with messaging patterns, IBM MQ, DB2, and related middleware components in high-throughput environments.
• Proven leadership in on-premise to cloud-native platform modernization, especially with Red Hat OpenShift in a regulated financial environment.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to lead technical discussions and present to senior stakeholders.
