Python Test Engineer

Our client, MDA is seeking a Python Test Engineer to join their team. As a Python Test Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing automated software test solutions used to validate satellite payloads and embedded systems. Working within a multidisciplinary aerospace environment, the engineer will develop Python and C++ test applications, support system integration and troubleshooting, and interact with EGSE and various communication protocols.

What’s the Job?

• Design, develop, test, debug, and document automated test software using Python and C++.
• Develop and maintain software applications for EGSE (Electrical Ground Support Equipment) used to test satellite payloads.
• Develop automated functional and system-level tests for complex aerospace systems.
• Integrate test software with satellite payloads, embedded systems, and test equipment.
• Troubleshoot software and system-level issues during integration and testing.

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software test development, test automation, or test engineering.
• Strong experience with Python.
• Experience with C++.
• Experience developing automated test applications and working with existing codebases.
